HS GSOC: Golden Warriors blank Patrick Henry for 3rd straight win

John Paul II girls soccer traveled to Estill on Friday for a non-region matchup with Patrick Henry and came home with a third straight win with a 7-0 rout of the Patriots.

With a 4-0 lead in the first half, JPII coaches Brian Quinty and Hayley Pina gave every player the opportunity to step on the field, and many of them got involved in the scoring.

Paige Weniger started the scoring for the Golden Warriors and finished with four goals. Alondra Hurtado, Julia Delgado, and Sadie Moulton each added a goal, and Gin White and Brenna Frank both had two assists apiece.

JPII’s defense was led by White and Lauren Weniger, while goalkeeper Trinity Grace Maxwell only needed two saves to preserve the clean sheet.

The Golden Warriors (3-3, 0-2) travel to region rival Hilton Head Prep on Monday.
