HS BSOC: Beine scores 5 as Sharks smash Airport

May River boys soccer scored early and often to roll to an 8-1 over visiting Airport on Saturday.

Colton Beine found the back of the net five times for the Sharks, scoring in twice in the first five minutes and twice more before halftime, then adding the punctuating fifth goal in the 62nd minute.

Chris Hernandez, Alonzo Peña, and Jakii Morrow also scored goals for May River, while Hernandez also had two assists, and Morrow and KJ Pierre had an assist each. 

Airport’s goal came in the 10th minute, when May River’s defender scored an own goal in an attempt to clear the ball. Keeper Dallas Winston had five saves in the win.

May River (3-0) hosts James Island in its region opener Friday.
