Hilton Head Prep baseball continued its pitching prowess Tuesday, routing the visiting Coastal Hurricanes 15-0 in four innings.
The terrific trio of Luke Foley, Connor McDonnell, and Phoenix Betancourt dominated on the mound, combining for just one hit and one walk while striking out seven.
Betancourt also led the charge at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Foley and Harrison Green both collected a pair of hits and drove in two runs.
“We played our best game so far,” HHP coach Chris Wells said. “Pitchers pounded the strike zone and were backed up with error-free defense. Phoenix continued his hot start at the plate with another solid performance. It’s fun to watch him play right now.”
HHP (4-0, 2-0) travels to Colleton Prep for a key region clash Friday.
