Hayden Jennings etched his name in John Paul II‘s record books with an incredible 15 strikeouts in five innings, and the Golden Warriors used a seven-run fourth to double up Beaufort Academy 12-6 at home on Monday.
JPII got the game rolling with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first, but the Eagles matched the tally in the top of the second to even the score at 2. The squads traded a run each before the Golden Warriors blew it open in the fourth, plating seven in the frame behind eighth-grader Bryant Jolley’s two-RBI knock and a Nate McDonough inside-the-park home run to go out in front 10-3.
