USCB’s Dawson Peters continued his hot start to the 2021 golf season on Saturday and Sunday, finishing in a tie for fifth place to lead the Sand Sharks at the Invitational at Savannah Harbour.
The Iowa native placed inside the top-15 in an amazing 14th straight tournament, dating back to October 2019.
Peters shined in the second round of the three-round event, shooting a tremendous four-under 68. All but two holes of the blazing-hot round were played on Saturday before the senior came back to complete holes 10 and 11 on Sunday. Peters cooled off in the final round, firing a 75 to finish the tourney with a 1-under 215, earning a tie for fifth with Mulbe Dillard of Florida A&M.
