WBB: Davis scores 34 as Salk dominates Denmark

Freshman Halle Davis poured in a career-high 34 points as the USC Salkehatchie women rolled to another lopsided win Tuesday, blasting visiting Denmark Tech 109-75 in their home opener. 

Davis went 12-of-22 from the floor — including 8-of-16 from 3-point range — in just her second collegiate game to lead five Indians in double digits. Davis also pulled down four rebounds along with two assists and three steals.

Antwanique Walley scored 15 points and grabbed seven boards, Kaia Simpson added 12 points off the bench, Breah Keitt collected 11 points and seven boards, and Andre’sia Alexander contributed 10 points, three assists, and four steals. Former Colleton County star Omari Kirkland scored six points to go with a team-high eight rebounds. 

USC Salk (2-0) travels to Louisburg College on Saturday.
