Hilton Head Christian Academy’s boys rallied from an eight-point deficit Tuesday, picking up a massive 61-53 win at Colleton Prep to notch their second straight region victory.
The Eagles started out strong, opening up an 18-11 lead in the first quarter behind five made free throws from Jace Blackshear. But the War Hawks’ defense forced a tough second quarter for HHCA, allowing just 10 points. Naz Johnson scored four in the period to help trim the deficit to 28-24 at the half.

Colleton Prep took control during the third, finding their groove on offense and outscoring the Eagles 21-15, leading by as many as eight points thanks to an 11-point quarter from Johnson. But the Eagles fought back in the fourth, holding Colleton Prep to eight points in the final period to come from behind and snatch the win despite making just 2/13 foul shots in the last eight minutes.
The key players showed up for Hilton Head Christian as four scored in double figures. Blackshear led the winning effort with 14 and his right-hand man JP Peduzzi put up 12. Isaiah Anderson and Andrew Helmes added 11 each.
Naz Johnson delivered a fantastic game for Colleton Prep, leading all scorers with 20 points.
Hilton Head Christian (5-8, 2-4) travels to Pinewood Christian Friday.
Colleton Prep (3-9, 0-3) is at Holly Hill Wednesday.
