Bluffton’s girls came up short in a tough road test Tuesday, falling 55-54 to SCISA 3A power First Baptist.
The Bobcats led by one after the first quarter before the Hurricanes pulled ahead 30-26 at halftime and stormed to a 47-33 advantage after three quarters.

Bluffton shot its way back into it in the fourth, as Cassandra Gray, Tacoya Heyward, and Katie Rodney all hit 3-pointers to close the gap, but the Bobcats were unable to take advantage of two opportunities to take the lead down the stretch.
Heyward scored 14 points and Rodney had 12 to lead the Bobcats. Gray added nine points, and Kayleigh Washington had eight.
Tiana Spann poured in 22 points and Lexi Grant added 18 to lead First Baptist.
