HSGBB: Four in double digits as HHCA rolls to 6-0

Hilton Head Christian Academy’s girls stayed perfect with a dominant 72-35 win at Bulloch Academy on Tuesday as four Eagles scored in double figures.

The Eagles overcame a slow start in the first quarter to take control with hot shooting and solid  defense, outscoring Bulloch 24-7 in the second quarter to build a commanding 41-18 halftime lead. HHCA shot 48 percent from the field and limited the Gators to 21 percent shooting.

Dior Shelton led the way with 20 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, but the Eagles got contributions from all over the place. Skylar Smith added 15 points and four steals, and Molly Smith and Devon Yarde each added 13 points for HHCA.

The Eagles (6-0) get a two-week break before traveling to Savannah Country Day to face Claxton High and Richmond Hill in a holiday tournament.
