Hilton Head High’s girls couldn’t generate much offense in a 51-21 loss at Georgia power Richmond Hill on Friday.
Janiya Ferebee scored 13 points to lead the way for the Seahawks, but HHIHS was outscored 10-1 in the first quarter and trailed 21-10 at halftime. Lynda Young added six points and nine rebounds for the Seahawks.
Richmond Hill took advantage of 19 offensive rebounds and pulled away by outscoring the Seahawks 20-3 in the fourth quarter.
HHIHS (1-1) opens region play at Lucy Beckham on Tuesday.
