John Paul II’s girls couldn’t maintain the momentum from their first win of the season, falling 54-19 on the road to a strong Patrick Henry team Friday.
The Golden Warriors struggled to knock down shots and couldn’t get enough stops to stay in the game a night after knocking off Charleston Collegiate for their first win.

“Tired legs and inexperience really hurt us tonight against a very good Patrick Henry team,” JPII coach Karen Floyd said. “Valuable lessons were learned and will help us down the stretch.”
Maddie Heathcott led JPII with five points and five rebounds, while Alexa Eaddy had an impressive game with four points and four boards. Ru Bennett led the Golden Warriors on the boards with six rebounds.
JPII (1-3) has a chance to bounce back at home Friday, hosting a rematch with Charleston Collegiate at 5 p.m.
