HSFB: HHCA asserts region clout with road rout of OP

If there was any question whether Hilton Head Christian Academy was the team to beat in SCISA Region 1-2A, the Eagles erased it Friday night with a dominant 34-7 victory at Orangeburg Prep in a matchup of unbeaten teams.

JP Peduzzi continued his superutility role with a touchdown pass, run, and reception for the second straight game, and Jace Blackshear tossed two TD passes and ran for another as the Eagles routed the Indians. Riley Shinn and Blaine McClure each caught a touchdown pass from Blackshear.

Troy Chisolm led another outstanding performance by HHCA’s “Junkyard Dog” defense, which pitched a second-half shutout against an OP team that averaged 46 points during a 3-0 start.

The Eagles (3-0, 2-0) host Colleton Prep for a non-region game at 7 p.m. Friday.
