Hilton Head Prep girls tennis remained undefeated and handed rival Hilton Head Christian Academy its first loss of the season with a 7-2 victory Tuesday at Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center.
The best match of the day came at No. 1 singles, where HHP’s Avery Brothers rebounded after losing the first set to win a three-set battle with Caitlyn Jackson. The Dolphins swept the singles courts and won at No. 1 doubles.
HHP (4-0) hosts Hilton Head High for another cross-island clash at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at South Beach Racquet Club. HHCA (2-1) travels to face John Paul II at 4 p.m. Thursday at Berkeley Hall.
