BSOC: Bobcats foil Fox’s return with JPII

Bluffton’s boys spoiled their former coach’s return to his old stomping grounds with a 7-1 win over visiting John Paul II on Friday. 

Uriel Zarracan and Davidson Alvarez each scored a hat trick, and Ricardo Velazquez added a goal for the Bobcats, who dominated former coach Josh Fox’s new team. Brayan Murillo had and Alvarez each had three assists, and Evan Hayes added one for Bluffton.

The Bobcats took 47 shots — 18 on goal — while limiting JPII’s chances. Alejo Hornos and Christian Ortiz shared time in goal for Bluffton. 


Bluffton (2-0) hosts Porter-Gaud at 7 p.m. Tuesday. 

JPII (0-2) travels to Battery Creek at 7 p.m. Thursday.
