BLAX: Sharks open with win in Sunshine State

May River boys lacrosse opened the season with an impressive 13-4 win at Mandarin (Fla.) on Friday. 

The Sharks gave a strong defensive showing, limiting the Mustangs to 13 shots on goal, and goalie Sean Morris made nine saves (69%). 

Rob Gadomski led the attack for May River with five goals and an assist, while Brooks van Esselstyn added two goals and three assists. Hudson Kramer contributed two goals and an assist, Mike Gonzales added two goals, and Hayden Borth and CJ Wajszczuk each scored a goal.

May River (1-0) hosts Bluffton at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the third annual Pet Rescue Shootout.
