HSBBB: Dolphins survive scare from JPII

Hilton Head Prep’s boys survived a serious challenge from host John Paul II on Friday, escaping with a 48-45 victory to preserve the Dolphins’ region title hopes.

Tyrone Calloway scored 16 points to lead the Dolphins, while Stone McDonald added 11 and led the team in rebounding. Kane Eanes came off the bench to score nine points, including several late free throws to help seal the win.

Reco Anderson had a huge game with 27 points and seven rebounds to keep the Golden Warriors in it, and Jackson Ogden added eight points and four assists for JPII.

The Dolphins look to avenge their only region loss when they host Bethesda Academy on Tuesday.
