HSBBB: Bobcats run out of gas in tight battle with Rebels

Bluffton’s boys were able to close the gap in their rematch with Effingham County on Saturday, but the Bobcats came up just short in a 55-50 loss to the visiting Rebels.

After losing to the Rebels by 19 points on Jan. 15, the Bobcats were able to stay in the game this time around. But after gaining their first region win the night before, the Bobcats did not have much left in the tank to make a final push.

Tyler Rice put up 13 points to lead the Bobcats, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers, and Lee Kirkland added 10 points, including 4-for-5 from the line.
