Beaufort High’s wrestling team finished second in the silver bracket at the U.S. Military Duals on Friday and Saturday at Chapin High School.
The Eagles went 2-3 against some stiff competition to finish 10th among 14 teams. In pool matches, Beaufort hammered Irmo 66-10, but lost to Class 5A No. 13 Fort Dorchester (47-32) and Class 4A No. 2 South Pointe (73-2) to fall to the silver bracket.
Beaufort easily defeated Laurens 66-15 to advance to the silver bracket final, where the Eagles lost a tough match to Class 5A #18 Wando, falling 45-36.
Tayriq Legree, James Dagin, and Jeremiah Simmons each won three matches on the weekend to lead the Eagles.
