Beaufort High’s girls won for the second night in a row Saturday, routing visiting Effingham County (Ga.) 41-19.
Layla Warren and Sequioa Smalls each poured in 15 points, and Nyja Deville made a strong contribution for the Eagles, who were without coach Reggie Jones for a second consecutive game due to a death in his family.
“It a total team effort from the coaches — Leon Sherman, Tim Summers, and Marilyn Wade — holding down the fort,” Jones said in an email. “The young ladies played hard and I’m very proud of them.”
