HSBBB: Third-quarter outburst haunts HHCA

Hilton Head Christian Academy’s boys couldn’t overcome a 30-point third quarter from visiting Savannah Country Day, falling 78-61.

It was a 12-point game at halftime before the Hornets outscored the Eagles 30-13 in the third quarter. HHCA made a charge in the fourth quarter but couldn’t close the gap.

Floyd Hargrove and Isaiah Anderson each scored 11 points, Quinn Ryan added 10, and Liam Sirgo scored nine to lead the Eagles.

The Eagles couldn’t match the depth of Savannah Country Day, which had 13 different players score with Paul Mosley (12) and Ethan Myers (11) leading the way.
