Whale Branch’s boys opened region play with a hard-fought 52-48 home win over Woodland on Tuesday.
Shawn Chisolm scored 17 points and Nick Pringle added 12 to lead the Warriors, who trailed by nine after one quarter but cut the deficit to one at halftime and held on in a tight second half.
