Battery Creek’s boys snapped an eight-game losing streak and made its first victory in more than a month a big one with a 59-46 home win over region foe Lake Marion on Tuesday.
David Grober scored 16 points and Amoni Waring added nine to lead the Dolphins to their first win since Dec. 7 against Bluffton.

Grober got hot from 3-point range, and the Dolphins were able to feed off their defense.
“We can address the elephant in the room,” first-year Dolphins coach CJ Brown said. “We have not been playing our best basketball. We see the results. So tonight we came out with force, making them commit turnovers. The good thing is we saw tonight that we can do it.”
