What a difference a Peluso makes — and even more so when there are two of them.
After being trounced by 29 points at Bluffton in early-December, May River’s girls flipped the script and beat the visiting Bobcats 44-29 on Saturday night.

May River guards Emma Peluso and Olivia Peluso missed the first meeting, and Bluffton feasted on steals and layups in a 46-17 rout. With the Peluso sisters back in the mix, the Sharks were able to frustrate the Bobcats’ dynamic duo of Tatyana Aiken and Tacoya Heyward. Aiken scored a game-high 13 points — only three points below her average — and Samari Mitchell added six points, but Heyward was limited to five, 10 points below her season clip.
Emma Peluso and Gracyn Drury deserve much of the credit for slowing down the Bobcats’ stars, and each also added eight points for the Sharks. Jordan Bigham led May River with 10 points, Chynna Sneed added eight, and Olivia Peluso drained two 3-pointers.
