HSGBB: Eagles' effort impresses in tough road loss

Beaufort High’s girls turned in one of their best efforts of the season but came up just short on the road, falling 61-54 to Wade Hampton on Saturday.

Layla Warren scored 22 points to lead the Eagles.

“It was a loss, but it was the best game of the year for us,” Beaufort coach Reggie Jones said. “Great energy going into region play.”
