On the strength of Keleigh Bowers and Bayli Belger, the Thomas Heyward girls edged visiting Hilton Head Prep 28-27 in a region matchup Tuesday night.
Bowers and Belger paced the Rebels with nine points apiece, with Bowers scoring six of her nine in the final period.
Hilton Head Prep started on a 5-0 run in the first quarter, and finished the half up 14-4, but the visitors could not hold onto an eight-point fourth-quarter lead. Three Dolphins fouled out late in the game, and the Rebels pulled through for an unlikely win.
Ella Clark led the Dolphins with 10 points, and Kierstin Clark added eight.
