Hilton Head High’s girls climbed back above .500 with a 57-31 win over visiting Oceanside Collegiate Academy on Saturday afternoon.
The Landsharks scored the first seven points of the game, but Hilton Head rallied to lead 24-21 at half. The Seahawks’ defensive pressure wore down the Landsharks, and Hilton Head outscored Oceanside 20-1 in the fourth quarter.

The Seahawks found balanced scoring, with five players scoring eight or more points. Chyna Fields led the way with 14 points, while Kenzie Ryan added 12, and Janiya Ferebee, Miley Ray, and Emma Moore each had eight to help the Seahawks sweep the season series.
“In our previous matchup, we had to grind out a 30-21 win in the fourth quarter,” Seahawks coach Sean Rochester said. “We have been holding the team accountable for getting better every day, and this is one of those games that you can point out their improvement. Obviously we’re heading into region play soon, and so the commitment to gradual improvement every day just continues.”
