HSBBB: Eagles fall in first round of Bobcat Classic

Beaufort High’s boys dropped their first-round game in the Bobcat Classic at Bluffton High School on Thursday, falling 88-77 to South Point (N.C.). 

South Point knocked down nine 3-pointers and made 11 free throws in the fourth quarter to help seal the win. 

Zyrin Odom racked up 23 points and 19 rebounds to go with two blocks and two steals, and Jamaad Rivers scored a team-high 24 points to lead the Eagles. Oliver Holmes added 11 points, and Rush Riley had eight.

Beaufort (3-8) faces St. James at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the consolation bracket.
