HHI&B Lowco Boys Basketball Spotlight

Each Monday (or Tuesday) throughout the high school boys basketball season, we recognize the standouts from the previous week’s action.

We select an offensive and defensive player of the week, as well as a Team of the Week.

Here’s this week’s installment of the Lowco Boys Basketball Spotlight presented by Hilton Head Insurance & Brokerage.

PRESENTING SPONSOR

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick Pringle, WB

The Wofford signee had a pair of double-doubles this week, putting up 12 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists in a win over Bluffton and 14 points, 17 boards, and three assists to lead the Warriors past Ridgeland-Hardeeville. Unfortunately he was a little TOO impressive on the offensive end against the Jaguars and tweaked his right knee landing awkwardly after a monster dunk, causing him to miss Saturday’s win over Battery Creek.

Also nominated: Dawson Coleman, BA; Mauriq Singleton, RHHS; Obie Wilson, BCHS; Floyd Hargrove, HHCA

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Daniel Harrington, HHCA

Harrington was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading the Eagles to the Kevin Brophy Invitational title in Savannah. The senior scored a team-high 24 points in the championship game, and his defensive pressure led to numerous fast-break opportunities. Harrington added 5.3 rebounds, three assists, 3.7 steals, and 3.3 deflections in three games this week.

Also nominated: Dawson Coleman, BA; Mauriq Singleton, RHHS; Devonte Barnard, WB
