Hilton Head Christian Academy’s girls finally met their match — a Georgia Class 3A powerhouse.
The Eagles suffered their first loss of the season Thursday, losing 44-32 to Beach in the first round of the Savannah Holiday Classic.

HHCA delivered the first punch, racing out to a 10-2 lead, but the Eagles couldn’t find the bucket in the second and third quarters as the Bulldogs opened up a 33-16. The Eagles finally got back on track in the fourth quarter to close the gap somewhat.
Dior Shelton led HHCA with 13 points, while Jasmine Campbell added nine.
