Hilton Head High’s girls remained undefeated with a 48-18 home victory over Effingham County (Ga.) on Tuesday.
The Seahawks once again were strong on defense – shutting out the Rebels in the first quarter, and once again holding the opposition to single digits each quarter. Hilton Head has held opponents to single digits in 14 of 16 quarters, including 13 straight quarters.
Miley Ray led the way at the other end of the floor with 16 points, followed by Chyna Fields with 11, and Kenzie Ryan with eight.
“Our focus has been on getting better every day,” Seahawks coach Sean Rochester said. “I think today was a step in the right direction as we look to build towards defending our region championship.”
