HSGBB: Aiken, Bobcats sink Sharks

Round 1 goes to the Bobcats. Bluffton’s girls played almost flawlessly at both ends of the court Friday, routing rival May River 46-17 at home.

The Bobcats held the Sharks to four points in the first half and heated up at the offensive end after halftime to claim the most lopsided win in the series history.

The Sharks were without regular starters Emma Peluso and Olivia Peluso, and without two of their top players they had no answer to stopping Bluffton’s Tatyana Aiken.

Aiken poured in 21 points, and Tacoya Heyward added 14 for the Bobcats.

Chynna Sneed scored 10 points to lead the Sharks.

Bluffton (3-1) travels to Battery Creek at 6 p.m. Saturday. May River (1-1) hosts Hilton Head High at 6 p.m. next Friday.
