Bluffton’s boys opened the season by splitting a pair of games at Whale Branch’s Earl Campbell Preseason Tournament on Monday and Tuesday.
The Bobcats scratched back from an early deficit to take a halftime lead before falling 69-59 to Burke in the first round. Tyler Rice led Bluffton with 19 points, while Jatelvayn Mosley and Lee Kirkland added 10 apiece.
Bluffton bounced back with a 50-31 win over Bridges Prep on Tuesday, as Mosley, Kirkland, and Jayden Chance each put up 10 points. Colton Doran scored 9 points, and Ryan Fondelier added 8 for the Buccaneers.
The Bobcats (1-1) travel to Ridgeland-Hardeeville on Tuesday.
