Hilton Head Christian Academy star Brielle McCarthy hit the 1,000-point milestone while leading the Eagles to an impressive 57-30 home win over Savannah Christian Prep on Wednesday.
McCarthy hit quadruple-digits for her career with a 3-pointer in the first quarter and finished with a game-high 15 points to lead three Eagles in double figures. Dior Shelton added 14 points, and Jasmine Campbell had 13 for HHCA, which raced out to a 20-5 lead after one quarter and extended it to 37-11 at halftime.
Skylar Smith chipped in nine points and Abby Peduzzi added six for the Eagles.
HHCA (1-0) travels to Porter-Gaud on Friday for a non-region game.
