10 Seahawks sign with colleges

Ten Hilton Head High student-athletes representing five different sports signed national letters of intent Thursday to formalize their plans to play at the next level.

The Seahawk standouts signed during a ceremony in the school’s media center with a trio of girls soccer and boys lacrosse players leading the charge.

Jamie Levine (Wagner), Miya Poplin (Furman), and Hannah Stanhope (College of Charleston) all signed to play women’s soccer for NCAA Division I programs, while a trio of lacrosse standouts also inked with Whit Molloy (Jacksonville University), Will Frith (Furman), and Max Boyer (Lander) making their commitments official.

Teammates Veronique Magnan (Colorado School of Mines) and Lydia Schubert (Georgetown University) signed to continue their volleyball careers, while golfer Derek Bunce (Lander) and baseball star Colin Gross (Charleston Southern) also signed.
