HSVB: HHCA tops HHP to complete perfect region mark

Hilton Head Christian Academy volleyball closed out the regular season Tuesday, sweeping rival Hilton Head Prep to finish with a perfect record in region play.

The Eagles rolled to a 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-13) victory to finish off their dominant run through the region. 

Ady O’Grady collected 17 kills, four aces, seven digs, and two blocks, and Lauryn Qualls had 14 kills, six aces, and eight digs to lead the Eagles’ attack. Abby Peduzzi contributed six kills and seven digs, and Dior Shelton had four kills and two blocks. 

The Eagles are a No. 1 seed in the SCISA 2A state tournament and have a first-round bye before facing the Oakbrook Prep-Robert E. Lee Academy winner at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center. The Dolphins are a No. 3 seed and take on Carolina Academy in the first round at noon Friday.
