HSFB: Dolphins can’t slow down Blazers

Hilton Head Prep couldn’t keep pace with an explosive Bethesda Academy offense Friday, falling 55-20 to the visiting Blazers.

The Blazers put up 21 points in the first quarter and led 36-7 at halftime, and the Dolphins couldn’t get enough offense going to close the gap.

Bethesda’s defense kept the Dolphins from finding their rhythm, as Stone McDonald passed for 231 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions and had a team-high 24 rushing yards and a touchdown. Carson King had five catches for 97 yards and a pair of 10-yard touchdowns.

Ezron Daley had seven tackles to lead the Dolphins on defense.

HHP (2-5) travels to Dorchester Academy next Friday.
