May River girls golf claimed another victory over its county rivals, but Hilton Head High closed the gap considerably in the nine-hole match at Golden Bear Golf Club on Thursday.
Led by medalist Kylie Bowes’ round of 3-over 39 and runner-up Sydney Bowes’ 40, the Sharks posted a team score of 170 to edge the Seahawks by 11 shots.
Eliza Jane Coulter (42) and Alexia Milbrandt (43) led the Seahawks to their best score of the season, while Izzy Stone (45) led third-place Beaufort High (240).
