HS Tennis: Dolphins edge Eagles for season sweep

Hilton Head Prep girls tennis held off a strong challenge from rival Hilton Head Christian Academy on Tuesday.

The Dolphins won the first meeting handily, claiming seven of eight courts, but the Eagles closed the gap significantly in the rematch, falling 5-4.

HHCA kept it close by winning three-set thrillers at No. 1 and No. 5 singles, salvaging a split of the six singles courts, but the Dolphins won two of the three doubles matches to clinch the victory.

HHP (9-1) hosts Beaufort Academy on Thursday. HHCA (4-2) travels to John Paul II on Thursday.
