Hilton Head Christian Academy was prepared for the possibility of a shootout Friday, and the Eagles got what they expected.
Hayden Shinn passed for four touchdowns and rushed for one, and Bobby Payne, Daniel Harrington, and JP Peduzzi each scored a pair of touchdowns as the Eagles outgunned host Bethesda Academy for a 57-40 win.
Shinn was 16-of-31 for 244 yards with four touchdowns and one interception and added a team-high 82 yards and a TD on 12 carries, and Payne rushed for 68 yards and two TDs on just five carries to lead a balanced Eagles offense.
Peduzzi had five catches for 103 yards and two scores, and Jace Blackshear and Harrington each added a touchdown grab. Harrington also took a punt return back for a score.
The Eagles (2-1) travel to St. Andrew’s next Friday.
