HS Tennis: Seahawks Secure Upper-Hand In Island Rivalry

Hilton Head High’s girls tennis team claimed cross-island bragging rights with a 4-3 win over Hilton Head Prep on Thursday.

The bottom of the lineup carried the day for the Seahawks, who dropped the top two singles courts and No. 1 doubles but won the other three singles matches and No. 2 doubles.

The Seahawks (1-0) travels to May River on Tuesday. The Dolphins (1-1) host Beaufort High on Tuesday.

2. Madeleine Pollitzer/Katie Watts (HHIHS) def. Val Covington/Page Sriubas 6-3, 6-1
