Youth Baseball: Bluffton’s World Series Run Ends

Bluffton American’s run ended Monday with a 19-9 loss to Texas at the Dixie Youth Baseball AA (8U) Machine Pitch World Series in Ruston, Louisiana.

Bluffton grabbed a big early lead in the slugfest, scoring eight runs in the second inning to take a 9-2 advantage, but Texas answered with seven in the bottom of the frame and added six in the third to break it open. 

Finn Boyles was 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs, Jaxson LeBaron and Zack Szypczak each added two hits and two RBIs, and Derek Blesie and Gage Colella had two hits apiece for Bluffton.

The Bluffton American team finished 13-4 in tournament play, winning the district and state titles and finishing among the last six teams standing at the Dixie World Series.
