John Paul II’s boys ended their season with a tough 4-1 loss at Oakbrook Prep in the first round of the SCISA 2A playoffs Monday.
The Warriors finished the first half down 2-0 and could not come back, even after a goal by Sebastian Laverde.
The opposing Oakbrook Prep had 10 seniors on the field compared to JPII’s one — Nathan Riley.
“Oakbrook was a very composed and together team,” said JPII coach Matt Dakolios, who noted he is excited about the Warriors’ returning roster.
JPII finishes with an 8-12-1 record.
