Bluffton’s boys bounced back from a slow start to take control and cruise to a 6-2 win over visiting Hartsville on Saturday, advancing to the Class 4A Lower State final.
The Red Foxes scored just four minutes into the game, but Bluffton’s Davidson Alvarez finished a corner kick in the 10th minute to tie it. Isaac Flores scored off an assist from Uriel Zarracan to give the Bobcats’ the lead, but Hartsville tied it in the 28th minute.
Alvarez scored his second goal — to go along with two assists — three minutes later for a 3-2 halftime lead, and the Bobcats dominated after the break. Zarracan scored three straight goals in the second half as Bluffton pulled away.
The Bobcats (15-5-1) will host Dreher for the Lower State championship at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
