Hilton Head Christian Academy’s boys earned a measure of revenge and a season split with rival Hilton Head Prep with a 2-1 win Thursday.
Jesus Morales gave the Dolphins a 1-0 lead with a goal in the third minute, but HHCA locked down on defense the rest of the way and JP Peduzzi scored a pair of goals to lead the Eagles to the victory.
Peduzzi scored the equalizer in the 36th minute and punched in a rebound off a set piece early in the second half for what proved to be the game-winner.
The Eagles (8-5, 2-1) host John Paul II for a key region matchup at 6 p.m. Wednesday, needing a win to forge a tie with the Dolphins (8-7, 3-1) atop the region standings.
