Hilton Head Prep’s Robert Hagen and Justin Perez each won their singles matches and teamed up for a clinching win at No. 1 doubles to give the Dolphins a 4-3 victory over cross-island rival Hilton Head High on Monday.
After breezing through their singles matches in straight sets, Hagen and Perez defeated Conrad Alford and Alex Ruckno 6-2, 6-1 in the deciding doubles match. Mo Woodson also earned a singles victory for the Dolphins.
HHP (9-2) hosts May River at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Seahawks (8-5) will open the Class 4A playoffs at home Thursday.
