Beaufort High rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh inning to claim a 7-5 road win over May River on Tuesday.
Ethan Graham’s two-out homer tied it at 5 and started the rally for the Eagles, who took the lead on Paul Winland’s RBI double and tacked on an insurance run when Winland scored on James Davenport’s single.
Graham finished 3-for-4 with a double and a homer, Jeffrey Smyth was 2-for-3, and Davenport was 2-for-2 with a double.
Davenport also earned the win in relief, allowing one run and three hits over 3 1/3 innings.
Joseph Tapscott was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, John Pesaturo was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Jack Hegan was 2-for-2 with two doubles, an RBI, and three runs for the Sharks.
Cooper George was tagged with the loss, giving up four runs and five hits in 2 2/3 innings in relief.
The Eagles (12-1) travel to Bluffton for the second of a three-game series Wednesday. The Sharks (8-4) host Ashley Ridge on Thursday.
