Hilton Head Christian Academy couldn’t dig out of an early hole Thursday, losing 9-6 at Frederica Academy.
Two big innings gave Frederica an 8-2 lead through four innings, and the Eagles were able to chip away but came up short.
Reese Malon was 1-for-3 with two RBIs, Jake Richardson was 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Eli Minton was 1-for-2 with an RBI to lead the Eagles at the plate.
Jacob Eddy was tagged with the loss, allowing five runs (four earned) on one hit with six walks in 2 2/3 innings.
