HS Baseball: Seahawks Avenge Earlier Loss To Red Devils

Hilton Head High avenged its only loss of the season with a 5-3 victory at Wade Hampton on Friday.

Matt Mebane’s two-run single in the three-run sixth inning gave the Seahawks the lead, and Hunter Julseth shut out the Red Devils over the final two innings to preserve the victory.

John Watson earned the win on the mound with two scoreless innings in relief of JJ Mlodzinski, who gave up three unearned runs and two hits over three frames.

Mebane was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Daniel Keber was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Mlodzinski and Colin Gross each drove in a run for the Seahawks.

HHIHS (6-1) travels to May River on Monday.
