Ten area basketball players are set to play in the SCISA North-South All-Star Games on Saturday at Wilson Hall in Sumter.
Beaufort Academy’s Amelia Huebel and EmilyAnn Hiers will play for the North squad in the Class 1A girls game and BA’s Dawson Coleman will be on the North team in the Class 1A boys contest at 11 a.m.
State champion Hilton Head Christian Academy will have three representatives — Dior Shelton, Brielle McCarthy, and Jasmine Campbell — on the South team in the Class 2A girls game, while Haddith Stewart and Tyrone Calloway from state champ Hilton Head Prep will be joined by HHCA’s Floyd Hargrove and John Paul II’s Sam Summa on the South team in the Class 2A boys game. Both Class 2A games are set for 12:30 p.m.
HHP’s Avern Montaque was picked to represent South Carolina in the SCISA vs. GISA all-star game but is unable to participate due to a college visit. JPII’s Tkai DeVore also was selected for the Class 2A girls game but is unable to play due to injury.
