Hilton Head Prep’s boys have won 24 consecutive games — and a 25th would give the Dolphins a state championship.
The Dolphins held off a late charge to complete a wire-to-wire win in a 71-66 victory over Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach on Thursday in the SCISA 2A semifinals. HHP (25-2) will face undefeated Shannon Forest in the title game at 4 p.m. Saturday at Sumter Civic Center.
Tyrone Calloway scored a season-high 25 points, Haddith Stewart added 14, Avern Montaque had 13 points and six rebounds, and Jack Braun contributed 11 points and six boards to lead the Dolphins to their 24th consecutive win.
HHP led 27-16 at halftime and was up 61-43 with three minutes left before the Saints surged back within five with less than a minute to play. Michael Green poured in 40 points for Christian Academy.
